You will have noticed that our site 'Suffolk Cadet' pieces, listed above, are never complete. This particularly applies to the site issues for Dec 03 to Jun 06.
I took over, at rather short notice, as Editor in Jun 06. My policy is never to offer excuses - just reasons !
Creating new site pages from the original 'Microsoft Publisher' pages, extracting text and photographs is a monumental task.
My time involved is far better spent on the 'live site' - it takes 23 mins per photograph (but I have to confess to 'being a perfectionist.')
I have therefore, unilaterally, decided to publish the Sfk Cdt pages as 'pdf' files wef Jun 07.
The Dec 06 'Publisher' file was a massive 8889 Kb but only 4551 Kb when sent to our ever-efficient printer Bernard at recycleprint@btconnect.com in Rochford, Essex.
Wef Jun 07, only 'pdf files', extracted from the SACF 'Publisher' site files will appear on the site.
However, a seemingly contemporary 21st C 'Health Warning' must accompany this advice: ie 'Don't attempt to open the "pdf files" unless you are on 'Broadband'. Otherwise, you will be forever 'locked-out !'
In due course I'll add the Dec 06 pages as pdf files.
