The Annual Dinner of the Suffolk ACF Officers'
Mess was held at the Weekend Training Centre in Thetford.
The guests were: Cols James Aldous OBE,
retiring Chairman of the Suffolk TA & Reserves Committee,
Chris Burrell-Saward,
Alan Munro TD (the latter 2 were former Commandants); Lt Col Mike Smye and Capt
John Catt
(the latter 2 being 'Dined Out' after, respectively, 41 and 25 years of
Commissioned Service - but add, respectively, 12 years of cadet service and
25 years of Regular Army Service).

who made the Dinner such a success:
Maj Bob Potter
MBE, CEO SACF, for the planning and liaison with 3 R Anglian for the loan
of kit (right in Sennelager at our 2006 Annual Camp, preparing for his
sponsored London-to-Paris cycle ride in Sep 06 in aid of the Royal British
Legion, raising £1550. The 200 cyclists covered 280 miles in 3 legs: the 1st
to Dover then 2 in France. At the conclusion they were escorted up the
Champs Elysees.); Capt John Catt,
QM SACF, for organising the kit;
SSI Phil Hubert (Cty HQ) for shopping for the
presentation 'Wind-up torches', presented to the Cadets (sorry chaps - pink
was the only colour available !) and for
masterminding the dinner procedure; Capt Janet
Tyrrell (A Coy CAA),
SSI Christine Forsdike (Cty HQ) (she declined to be photographed but was
snapped at work in Sennelager at Annual Camp in Germany, 2006) and SI Mick Hammond
(Felixstowe RA)
for their help in the
setting up of the room, their work during and after the dinner;
