With summer approaching now is the time
to clean the mud off your walking boots ready for the
Adventure Training and Duke of Edinburgh activities this
year.
Sun 30 May - Fri 4 June 04 An opportunity
for 30 cadets to have a week in Wales doing AT.
Activities will include climbing, abseiling, mountain
biking, caving, walking and various trips out.
Sat 24 - Fri 30 Jul 04 Duke of Edinburgh’s
Award expedition in Snowdonia, North Wales. This will be
a Gold/Silver practice or expedition depending on the
cadets available.
Sun 24 - Fri 29 Oct 04 AT week in Wales
with white water rafting, mountain biking, climbing,
abseiling, walking and the usual trips out.
You can also attend courses at the National Centres for
Adventure Training. They can be booked through the
County HQ AT team. Courses available include walking,
rock climbing, kayaking, open canoeing and caving.
In Feb 2005 there is the opportunity to do Winter
walking in Scotland.
