Glorious weather marked the Regional Athletics Championships held at the newly opened Princess Royal Sports Arena in Boston, Lincs.
We thank Lincolnshire ACF for organising the event, the Officers and Adult Leaders who assisted, supporting parents, friends and the 250 Cadets from 10 Counties who participated.

Gold medallists competed in the National Athletics meeting at Grantham in Jun 04.

Special thanks go to the Suffolk ACF Adult Leaders who accompanied the team and /or drove the minibuses, especially SMI Ralph Bianco, Suffolk County Sports Officer, for his preparation and management of the Suffolk ACF Team; SSIs Brian Askew, William Picton-Jenkins (ie PJ !), Trevor Willoughby; SIs Pete Fowler, Libby Stopard, Zac Sutton and Mr John Barber, a former Regular Army Tug of War Team member.

ACF guidelines do not permit the identification of cadets by name on websites so the photographs below are in no particular order
but they know who they are - all C Coy from the two Grenadier Guards detachments in Ipswich !

Both Tug of War Teams came 3rd, missing Silver by one point; a very good effort by all concerned especially as it was our first competitive year.
Eastern Region thank SI Mick Skinner from Humberside and South Yorkshire ACF for refereeing the competition.
The Suffolk teams will be competing in the National ACF Tug of War on 10 Jul at Colchester.
