On the weekend of 19th - 20th June, in very mixed weather conditions, ranging from squally showers to balmy June warmth, Suffolk ACF held their annual Skill at Arms Meeting at Fingringhoe Ranges, Colchester. They fired live rounds at targets with the 5.56 mm Cadet Rifle at ranges between 100m and 300m.

A, B and C Companies were represented, well supported by Adult Leaders, who covered First Aid, Range Safety and administration.

The overall champions were the Cadets from B Company, based at the TA Centre in Lowestoft.

The Top Shot of the Shooting Competition was **** , aged 16, from Beccles Detachment, who scored an incredible 84 out of a possible 90.

Team Captain Company Sergeant Major Mark Galley said: 'The whole team did brilliantly and it was nice to return with a lot of trophies and winning the best shot and the Champion Company is the icing on the cake!'

The weekend was organised by Regimental Sergeant Major Instructor Alan Barnard, assisted by Adult Leaders from across the County. County Commandant Col Paul Denny presented the prizes.
