Regular Army Selection success for SUFFOLK ARMY CADET

Cadet Staff Sergeant Olli Hare, aged 18, from Haverhill (Royal Anglian) Detachment, Suffolk Army Cadet Force, has been selected to join The 1st Battalion, The Royal Anglian Regiment in September 2005.

A Cadet for five years, four of them at Sudbury, Olli concluded his service at Suffolk Army Cadet Force Annual Camp at Rollestone on Salisbury Plain and celebrated with a parachute jump from 3500 feet.

Olli has represented Suffolk ACF in Cross Country, Rugby, Swimming and Tug of War.

Earlier this year he gained 'Very Good' (the highest grade) on the National Cadet Leadership Course.

Formerly at Sudbury Upper School he is a Lifeguard and Fitness Trainer at the Kingfisher Leisure Centre in Sudbury.

His Haverhill Detachment Commander, Staff Sergeant Instructor Grant Crouch, said: 'Olli has been an outstanding Cadet and we all wish him every success in his Regular Army Career.'
