Suffolk Army Cadet appointed County Regimental Sergeant Major Sarah Revell, aged 18, from Felixstowe (RA) Det, C Coy, Suffolk Army Cadet Force, has been promoted from SSgt and appointed as the new County RSM. This great honour comes to an outstanding Master Cadet who also holds appointment as The Lord Lieutenant’s Cadet to The Lord Tollemache. Sarah heard the surprise news on the last day of Annual Camp at Rollestone on Salisbury Plain at the County Parade where she had earlier collected, on behalf of C Coy, the County Athletics Champions trophy. She celebrated her 5th Annual Camp with several parachute jumps from 3500 feet. Sarah recently left the Upper VI Form at Northgate High School and intends, later, joining the Police Force. She has represented Suffolk ACF at Netball, Soccer and Volleyball as well as gaining Regional Colours for Tug of War. In July she was in the Suffolk ACF Girls Tug of War Team at the National Championships, winning a gold medal. Capt Ron McDaid, C Company Admin Officer, said: ‘Sarah is an outstanding Cadet. This is a most well deserved recognition of her many achievements and the example she sets. Her commitment, enthusiasm and willingness to get involved were evident from the first time she appeared. She is a credit to her Detachment, Company and Suffolk ACF. Sarah will make a fine County RSM.' |
